NBA Accreditation

NBA Enquire Now

At City Innovates, we provide crystal clarity on NBA accreditation for Engineering & mba Institutes. We tell them how to document “outcome-based” education evaluation and assessment. We mentor the faculty and staff to write the SAR we think would truly deliver on the objective. We have our own well designed formats, flow charts, graphs as samples to help Institutes present their Report. We have specific formats for data collection, collation, evaluation and effective presentation to make a good impact on the Evaluation Team.
We hold workshops, seminars and faculty development programmes, for your concerned faculty on the outcome-based education system, an inescapable academic need of the current times and strongly mandated by NBA.

The critical part is to impart training on the fundamentals of Program/Assesment Education Objectives,Programme Outcomes and Course Outcomes together with the tools used for evaluation and assessment of outcomes. After arriving at the outcomes, we import Knowledge on how to implement improvements in the curriculum design and delivery. It is a niche learning platform and is best taught by holding one-day or two-days of intensive workshop. We also assist institutes by undertaking mentoring/hand-holding consultancy services for six months and keep-build their capacities and competency.

If you know the answers to the following questions, you need not attend our NBA workshop:

  • How do you carryout Assessment and Evaluation in an outcome based education process?

  • Are you aware that Examination question papers, Practical/Lab work/Assignments must be set based on the POs to be achieved?

  • What is direct and indirect system of Assessment and Evaluation for tier I and II institutes?

  • What are Specific Program Outcomes (SPOs) and how are these different from Program Outcomes (POs)?

  • What is the rubric method of teaching and evaluation?

  • How are the Course Outcomes (COs) after every Semester recorded and mapped with POs and PSOs to find out whether POs had been attained?

  • How do you carry curriculum changes based on the Program outcomes?

What is new in NBA?

NBA has revised the duration of award of accreditation; i.e., 3 years of provisional accreditation and 6 years for full accreditation. This is applicable to UG Engineering only.

Provision exists for extending 2 years provisional accreditation to 3 years after following due procedure. The extension is applicable to programs accredited under tier 1 and 2 formats of Jan 2014 onwards only.

Pre-qualifiers are a must-fulfil condition before you apply for NBA accreditation.

Pre-qualifiers are applicable to the UG engineering programmes only.

Pre-qualifiers differ from Tier 1 and Tier 2 colleges.

The Compliance Report is applicable for those programs which are provisionally accredited for 2 years. For further accreditation, institutions are required to submit the Compliance Report instead of SSR.

Outcome-based education system evaluation and assessment system widely differs from Tier 1 and Tier 2 institutes.

New SAR for PGDM and NBA is Outcome-based process.

Check out whether you are meeting stringent Pre-qualifiers to apply

  1. Whether number of available PhDs in the program is greater than or equal to 33% of the required number of faculty for previous two academic years including current academic year. Earlier, the previous two years’ condition was non-existent.

  2. Whether admissions in the program has been more than or equal to 60% of Sanctioned Intake average of the previous three academic years including the current academic year. This was not there in the old system.

  3. Whether the institution has Professor(s) and Associate Professor(s) equal to the Management Programs being offered by the institution for previous two academic years including current academic year. This is again a fresh condition.

  4. Whether the placement ratio (Placement + Higher Studies + Entrepreneurship) is greater than or equal to 60% average of the previous three academic years. It is a newly introduced condition.

  5. Whether the faculty retention rate is greater than equal to 50% averaged during the period of assessment keeping CAYm3 as base year. A new condition.

  6. Whether student faculty ratio in the programs under consideration is better than or equal to 1:20 averaged over the previous three academic years including current academic year. This is an easier condition to meet as compared to the previous SAR of 1:15.

Since new to outcome-based system, we strictly recommend you invite us to held two-day workshop on this system.
